After an explosive season eight, the ladies of Real Housewives of New York City are reportedly turning season nine into a real dud, so much so that they're putting the future of the show at risk!

“They have been filming for weeks and still have no show,” a source told RadarOnline.com exclusively. “It is starting to feel like a disaster.”

While season eight featured Luann de Lesseps’ engagement (then subsequent cheating scandal), Bethenny Frankel’s health scare, and Jules Wainstein’s quickly unraveling marriage, season nine’s producers fear they’ve filmed little to nothing worth airing.

“The problem is that no one except Countess LuAnn has a storyline,” the insider claimed. Bethenny’s divorce has been going on so long that it is no longer interesting. Carole Radziwill’s book with her boyfriend looks like it’s never going to get published, and Sonja Morgan is still talking about launching a Tipsy Girl cocktail.”

“The only story that they have is LuAnn’s big wedding and she didn’t allow the show’s cameras inside to film it,” added the source.

While the insider notes there are enough juicy moments to merit around 12 episodes—like Bethenny streaking during a cast trip and kissing Sonja—there isn’t nearly as much gossip to fill the show’s typical 20-episode season run. According to Page Six, this would be the first time a season has had less than 20 episodes since Season 5.

Are you shocked the ladies of NYC are keeping things tame this season? Will you still watch the show? Let us know in the comments!
