Kim Richards is ready to tell her story! Her memoir, The Whole Truth: The Reality of It All, will hit bookshelves on April 28, 2020. Kim, 55, is known for her appearance on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, along with her roles as a former child actress.
The reality star’s memoir is “the harrowing, all-too-real, and ultimately empowering story of a woman who has been through hell and back, endured, grew strong, and learned to become her own fiercest advocate.”
Adding, “The soul-baring confession of a woman revealing what it was like to be treated like a show pony as a child star, as a disposable object as a wife, a whipping post as a sister, and as a tabloid commodity as a celebrity. But above all else, it is a triumphant tale of a determined woman who refused to be broken — a fierce, loving, and relatable human who is strong, flawed, and real.” The book will be published by HarperCollins Publishers, and will feature 25 to 35 photographs.
The reality TV personality revealed that she was publishing an autobiography in November 2019. “I’ve always been spiritual, but then I really started digging in and looking at really, like, who I was, who I became and who I am today,” she told Page Six during BravoCon at the time. “Only time knows who I’ll end up being. I’m really continuing to grow and it’s been a process. Looking back at my life, every bit of it from the beginning, was very, wow. Some of the … painful parts were tough. It’s been beautiful, too. I’ve grown a lot.”

The Long Island native has openly struggled with her substance abuse over the years. Kim had a long period of sobriety before she relapsed in April 2015 and she was arrested for public intoxication at the Beverly Hills Hotel. Months later, she was arrested again for reportedly shoplifting from a Target store. Most recently, Kim experienced a downward spiral in August 2019, and left the UCLA hospital early against medical advice.
Kim was a cast member on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills from 2010 to 2015. She and sister Kyle have a contentious relationship with one another. Despite their rocky history on and off screen, Kim and Kyle, 51, worked through their issues over the years and are stronger than ever.
The former child actress is also slated to appear in the tenth season of RHOBH. “Nobody knows their exact roles yet, but it’s looking like they all will be involved in some story lines,” a source revealed to Hollywood Life in December 2019.
