PHOTOS11 Pics That Prove The Cast Has Started Filming Teen Mom 2 Season 6
The road to Teen Mom 2’s sixth season has been rocky, to say the least. We still have yet to get an official announcement from MTV that it’s happening, on top of the fact that Leah Calvert quit and then un-quit the show. But from the looks of some new photos shared by the cast on social media, it seems like season 6 is definitely a go!
The first clue comes to us from Jenelle Evans, who captioned this photo on Facebook, “Guess who is old enough to get mic’d up now!” Of course the “who” is referring to Jace, and mic’d up is TV talk for “wears a microphone.” Anyone else really excited to see inside Jenelle and Nathan's new home on the show?!
Other hints that the cast is in filming mode can be found in their cars. All of the girls’ and guys’ cars have GoPro cameras attached to their windshields and though we can’t see one in this recent car selfie Javi Marroquin posted on Instagram, we can’t help but think that he left it out of the photo on purpose so as not to give anything away….
Case in point? This photo that Amber Portwood posted of the cameras in her car was a spoiler alert that they were filming Teen Mom this past fall!
But this photo shared by both Javi and Kailyn Lowry is a bit more obvious. If you look to the far right of this photo, you’ll see a woman holding a rather large camera. Unless Kail and Javi are releasing a workout video that we don’t know about—which, hey, is technically possible—that looks like an MTV camera crew to us!

And you certainly can't miss the camera in this photo! Kailyn showed off the new bed and bedspread Isaac got for his fifth birthday, but all we're noticing in this pic is the camera guy in the left corner. Fans are catching on, too, as some comments under this Instagram photo said "can't wait for the new season!" and "you must be filming!." Busted.

Meanwhile, cameras were spotted at Jenelle’s 23rd birthday party, which was held at her and Nathan’s new home in North Carolina. Perhaps the MTV cake was a dead giveaway…
The Teen Mom 2 crew also tagged along on Jenelle and Nathan’s trip to St. Thomas and filmed their engagement dinner. Plus, Nathan confessed that MTV paid for their hotel, which was more indication that they’re in production mode!
And it also seems as though Leah has started filming even though she signed her contract after the other girls. See that shadow behind her and her girls at Ali and Aleeah’s fifth birthday party? Just sayin’—that is totally a shadow of a guy holding a camera.
@TeenMom_MTV also got a hold of this photo of Leah's ex, Corey Simms, filming with his wife, Miranda, and his dad and step-mom. Jeff Simms did confirm on Twitter that the show was coming back, so we guess he wasn't making it up!
But if that's not enough proof that the Simms and Calverts are in production mode, Jeff also tweeted this photo of the family at Chelsea Houska and her dad, Randy, saying that they stole the Houska's MTV camera crew. "We stole your crew! Now what?" he joked.
Chelsea Houska has been a bit less obvious if she has in fact begun filming. None of the photos of her and new boyfriend, Cole DeBoer, give away any clues! However, Chelsea’s dad Randy directly addressed the season 6 rumors, saying back in October that “only 5% of what I read is true.” That’s better than zero, so we’ll take it.
