Teresa, her husband Joe Giudice and their four daughters—Gia, Gabriella, Milania and Audriana—attended Sunday mass at the Cathedral Basilica of Sacred Heart Church in Newark, New Jersey on her last day before going to prison.
The RHONJ star kept a cheery face while with her family despite her future behind bars.
On Monday at 3 a.m., Giudice checked into the Federal Correctional Institution in Danbury, Connecticut, RadarOnline reported.
Teresa was sentenced to 15 months after she pleaded guilty to bankruptcy fraud and conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud in March 2013.
Joe will begin his 41-month sentence when Teresa’s sentence ends.
As for life behind bars for Teresa, a former inmate told OK! Magazine that it certainly won’t resemble her lifestyle we see on TV.
“Teresa will be told when to get up, when to sleep, when she can shower and when she can eat,” former inmate Beatrice Codianni told OK!. “Fellow inmates and the staff look down on white-collar people because they feel that they had every advantage and blew ’em. And if other inmates offer her snacks or other items, she should be prepared to repay them or pay it forward.”
