Watch! Lamar Odom Reveals How His New Lifestyle Will Help Him Compete On 'Dancing With The Stars'

Lamar Odom has bounced back after a rough couple of years. The basketball star revealed to OKMagazine.com that he thinks his new, healthy lifestyle will help him compete on season 28 of Dancing with the Stars.

The former Lakers player believes that his healthy habits will translate into success in the ballroom.

"Hopefully, my energy will be up and I'll be more alert. I'll be present," Lamar, 39, explained.

The athlete went on to joke that he has no dancing experience "besides in the club."

Lamar's new girlfriend Sabrina Parr is helping to keep him on the right track. "We run a mile every morning," he said, noting that she has been extremely supportive.

He added, "We've just been eating right and living right."

Lamar will compete against The Bachelorette star Hannah Brown, Dawson's Creek actor James Van Der Beek,  supermodel Christie Brinkley and others for the mirror ball trophy.
