Desiree Hartsock will debut her latest fashion design on Monday night's episode of The BacheloretteThe star shared this exclusive sketch with PEOPLE and talked with the magazine about everything from the inspiration to future designs.

What was the inspiration behind the bejeweled cobalt number? “I wanted to design a gown that was elegant and timeless while still having an edge, glamorous but not overdone,” Des said. “I love to design gowns that are unexpected with different design detail or an interesting back.” Desiree added that she enjoys working with bold colors and thought the gemstone neckline would be a nice change from the sequin frocks she would don throughout the season.
