Cheryl Burke weighs in on this week's Dancing With the Stars theme and working with partner William Levy!
We just started to do these theme weeks a few weeks ago, but it's definitely so sad. You don’t want to see anyone’s video packages. It's rough. But, I think its great though for the American audience to see because then they can really relate to someone that they may not know a lot about.
William's package was lighthearted. I think it was nice to sort of see him joke about it a little bit, but you can tell that he has been through a lot of rough things in his life.
I think my most memorable moment here would probably be when I got the show and I was 21, and I had no idea that my whole life would change like this. It would be more of a celebration, I think, as well.
But there have been so many emotional times on the show. I think it's definitely just being able to meet everybody. There are just so many people that I never thought I could meet and I have met. It’s really changed my life. It’s the moments that you bond with certain people. You can’t take that away.
Next week is rock week so it’s not like it will be sexy, sexy. It could be sexy, sexy. But, we will be doing the Jive if we make it.
We definitely have been rehearsing long hours and William definitely wants to get the dance down. He does whatever it takes. We just do the job. Every Wednesday, he learns all of his routine so we can actually be able to work on it throughout the week.
As for fights, I know there can always be tension in rehearsals between partners. I think that William and I have a mutual respect and I think it’s very important to develop that with your partner from day one when you meet.
