Jessica Simpson Opens Up on 'Oprah': 'He Did Apologize. I Don't Accept It'

Jessica Simpson opened up to Oprah Winfrey on Wednesday's show about how John Mayer's interview with Playboy — the one where he called Jessica his "sexual napalm" — was very hard for her to read. Jessica explained to Oprah, "I tried to read the article, and I was so disappointed in him."

John and Jessica dated for almost two years and Jessica said the John in the Playboy interview is not the John she knew.
"It made me so sad, and it was really discouraging because that’s not the John that I knew… I hope he gets his life together… He did apologize. I don’t accept it," she revealed on Oprah. "It’s just one of those things that… I don’t resent him. I’m just going to let that go. That part of my life is over.”

The singer was embarrassed that John revealed intimate details about their sex life.
“I’m not angry. I’m — well, I’m a little bit angry… I’m a little bit angry," she admitted. "Um — well, I don’t want people to know how I am in bed. I guess it could have been a lot worse.”

Jessica's time on Oprah wasn't just about John, but the other topics weren't much easier for the singer to discuss.
The "mom jeans" Jessica has been criticized for wearing were only a size 4, she revealed, and she told Oprah she has never been larger than a size 6.

Although she was hurt by the critiques of her "unflattering" jeans, she kept it hidden.
"I didn't want to let people know it was affecting me," Jessica explained.
Though she admitted to gaining some weight, she said, "The fact that I was famous last year for gaining 10 pounds is ridiculous and it's really sad."

Even on her way to tape the Oprah show, Jessica was confronted about her weight.
An airport security guard, who patted her down, said, "You're really not that big."
"People think I'm 245 pounds," she explained. "It's really hard."

She's happy with her size 4 (sometimes 6) figure and said, "I love my curves."
Jessica's new reality show The Price of Beauty is partly the reason she has come to love her body.

"I finally relaxed and I don't care what people have to say about my weight," she explained. "I think I look great."
