'1,000-Lb Sisters' Star Tammy Slaton Checks Into Rehab, Gives Up 'Drinking, Smoking & Junk Food' As She Restarts Weight Loss Journey: Report
1,000-Lb Sisters star Tammy Slaton, 35, is kickstarting her weight loss journey after weeks of backsliding with partying and junk food.
The reality personality has reportedly checked into a rehab clinic in Ohio yet again after her initial time there which ended in her calling it quits prior to the end of her treatment.
"She is in a facility and she's getting help," a source close to Slaton spilled to The Sun. "This summer she was a bit reckless. There were times when I said, 'You have a TV show about your weight. Why are you eating this?' I was very blunt with her."
Despite her less than successful stint in rehab the first time, the source claims this time the reality star is serious about making a change.
"She is doing it on her own. The show is not paying for it, she's paying for it," the source continued of Slaton's newfound commitment to making a change. "She's doing it on her own and she's choosing to be close to eight hours away from her family."

Another source told the outlet, "She met with a nurse a few days ago and the nurse said she's improving tremendously," noting the tv personality has "increased physical activity" to the point she is now able to "do more things on her own."
Slaton's downward spiral has been documented in the show in recent episodes that detailed her struggles with partying, drinking, and filling up on junk food with a certain group of friends as she completely abandoned her diet.
"She needs people in her life who are going to tell her what it's like to be okay," the source added. "If she's constantly hanging around people who are overweight, she won't reach her goal."
As for how long the tv personality will be in Ohio, the source says she plans to be back home this summer.
"She has a goal for herself. Because again, she's paying for this," they explained. "She has a goal for herself to get out this summer."
