Amber Portwood's Ex Andrew Glennon Accuses 'Teen Mom OG' Star Of Abusing Meth & Other Drugs While Pregnant With Their Son In New Court Docs
Amber Portwood is getting called out by her ex for allegedly abusing drugs while pregnant.
Andrew Glennon, 37, who shares three-year-old son James with the Teen Mom OG star, brought up his ex’s dark past with substance abuse as part of their ongoing custody battle.
The pair, who split in 2019, have since been duking it out in court in a grueling custody battle, and Glennon appears to be pulling out all the stops.
According to new court papers obtained by The Sun, Glennon claimed that Portwood, 31, has a “history of substance abuse, even while pregnant with and subsequently caring for the minor child herein.”
The father cited in the papers a specific encounter that occurred on October 16, that led Glennon to believe that Portwood was still using drugs. He alleged that she was “acting erratically, speaking frantically, and appeared completely paranoid and disheveled.”
The docs continue, insisting that the MTV personality “went so far as to allege that two nearby vehicles were ‘staking her out’ and waved down Petitioner/Father as he was leaving with the minor child to ask him to tell the individuals in the nearby vehicles to ‘stop’ staking her out.”
Glennon claimed in the papers that Portwood’s behavior on October 16 was “substantially similar to that which he has previously witnessed,” as he has “witnessed Amber under the influence of drugs previously, specifically methamphetamine,” or the drug more commonly known as meth.
“Furthermore, Respondent/Mother recently posted a video on Instagram in which her pupils were very dilated to the point that public commenters were noticing,” the documents read.
Glennon is demanding in the documents that Portwood “immediately submit to a hair follicle drug screen.”

Days after her ex’s filing, the TV personality responded and shut down the allegations of drug use.
Her response read, “Mother has exercised her parenting time with the parties’ child without any incidents regarding any type of substance abuse.”
The papers also claimed that Portwood is required to submit random drug screens monthly following her arrest in 2019, and she insists that she has “never failed a drug screen.”
Her response continued, “Mother denies adamantly the allegations made in Father’s Motion and believes that a hair follicle test is unnecessary due to her history of negative drug screens and continued requirement to submit to same.”
Portwood also claimed in her response that she believes Glennon’s accusations are part of a tactic in order to paint her in a “negative light.”
This isn’t the first time that Glennon has made bold claims about his ex, after he previously alleged that Portwood was physically abusive to their toddler.
“You hit your baby boy?...Really?!,” he wrote on an Instagram story in August.
Portwood was reportedly outraged by the claims, and requested that she be granted full custody as retribution. She also filed court papers in September requesting that Glennon be held in contempt of court for the “defamatory” public statement.
Glennon currently has full custody of James, although the custody battle is still ongoing.
