Did Anna Faris & Michael Barrett Tie The Knot? Cinematographer Spotted Rocking Ring On Wedding Finger
Anna Faris' fiancé Michael Barrett was seen rocking a band on his wedding finger, sparking rumors that the two may have secretly wed.
The cinematographer, 51, flashed the piece of jewelry while dining at Tallula's Mexican restaurant in Santa Monica, Calif., on Tuesday, July 20. Faris and her 8-year-old son Jack — with whom the actress shares with ex-husband Chris Pratt — were also in attendance.
However, the couple seems to be sending mixed messages when it comes to whether or not they wed. While Barrett was seen with a new ring, The House Bunny actress was simply wearing her yellow cushion-cut diamond engagement ring — which is estimated to be "worth somewhere between $25,000-$50,000," according to Brides — and no wedding band.
It remains unclear when Barrett popped the question, but Faris — who was first married to actor Ben Indra from 2004-2008 — confirmed the couple's engagement last February during her appearance on The Late Late Show with James Corden. Meanwhile, it was Faris' Mom costar Allison Janney who first revealed that the two were engaged.
"They've been engaged for a long time," Janney told Us Weekly last January. "I kept it very quiet, I'll have you know! So, I celebrated with them a long time ago," she added, explaining that she had no idea of their engagement until she saw the ring on Faris' finger one day on set of their now-canceled sitcom.
The Hollywood couple first met on set of the comedy flick Overboard, released in 2018, and reportedly began dating in 2017. Faris and Barrett's relationship came shortly after she and Pratt famously announced their split in August 2017 following their 8-year marriage.
While their separation came as a shock to the entertainment world, OK! learned that the coparents had issues behind closed doors, which they never discussed with friends. "I think that we both protected that imagery even within our close circles," she candidly said on her “Anna Faris Is Unqualified" podcast.
The former flames' divorce was finalized in October 2018, with both exes quickly moving on. Faris found love with Barrett, and the Marvel star moved on with Arnold Schwarzenegger's daughter Katherine. The 42-year-old proposed to the brunette beauty in January 2019, and the two tied the knot in June of that year, with them welcoming their first child together, daughter Lyla, in August 2020.
