Aubrey O'Day Flees United States To Start 'New Life' Abroad In Quest For 'A More Profound Purpose'
Pop singer Aubrey O’Day shocked fans when she announced she was fleeing the United States and starting a new life abroad.
Over the weekend, the blonde bombshell detailed her decision — in an uncharacteristically long message — to give up her home in Los Angeles, Calif., to start a new chapter.
“For those of you who are friends, or have spent enough time on my Twitter over the years to get into my mind, you know I’ve been wanting to leave out of the country for a while now, so.. I have :) ! I sold my place in America and just boarded my flight to a new life,” she wrote via Instagram on Saturday as she teased her new single.
“I’ve been so anxious, scared, emotionally raw, I have no idea what will come next.. which completely exacerbates the control freak in me 👀. however.. life just got too predictable and uninspiring for me. The industry, society’s cravings, our leaders, the product consumer dynamics,” she continued.
Then the former Danity Kane member explained that “before I was a public figure at 17, while in college, I sailed around the world on Semester at Sea,” which prompted her desire to “join the Peace Corp” and make a difference in the world.
“I promised myself that I would take a stand and implement change for the injustices I witnessed all over the world, and I just knew I would use my voice to make an impact!” she told her nearly 1 million followers.
“Now that said.. I’ve definitely lived every last thing on my many bucket lists growing up, and my unrestrained perspectives definitely make an impact (whether it be the one intended/deserved or not 👀), but I need a more profound purpose at this stage of my life than what I’ve learned so far,” Donald Trump Jr.’s ex concluded her emotional message. “So.. I’m writing this to anyone who may be relating to any of these feelings expressed.. JUST JUMP AND THE NET WILL APPEAR! love you all!”
Her fans praised her decision to follow her heart and take a chance. “Proud of you for taking that leap! Many wondered where she was headed, and although she has kept her secret destination under wraps, she recently shared snaps of her Instagram Story of her plane ride hinting she was heading to Dubai.
