Barron Trump is reportedly keeping a highly reclusive, low profile inside a strict security bubble due to direct threats against his life and multiple assassination attempts targeting his father, President Donald Trump.

According to reports from the New York Post and The Daily Beast, sources close to the family state that the 20-year-old rarely leaves his private quarters, moves quickly to avoid crowds within the White House and has spent most of his summer under heavy guard at the Trump National Golf Club Bedminster.

“He doesn’t go out,” one person close to Barron told the Post. Another source added: “The kid’s pretty reclusive.”

Hardline Iranian state television aired a highly stylized three-minute propaganda broadcast titled "Where to kill Barron Trump," showing locations he frequents, tracking his movements and alleging a $10 million bounty on his head.

The U.S. Secret Service confirmed that it is actively investigating the video and evaluating it as a credible protective intelligence threat, though it declined to detail specific security protocols.

The extreme caution surrounding Barron follows a series of three assassination attempts against his father over two years, including the July 2024 shooting in Butler, Penn., a foiled plot in West Palm Beach, and a firearm attack during the White House Correspondents' Dinner in April 2026.

The video specifically highlighted luxury department stores in Manhattan frequented by the FLOTUS, providing viewers with tactical suggestions on how to use her public routine to bypass security and launch an attack.

The broadcast concluded by cutting directly to a warning to her son, stating: “Barron Trump, wait for us!”

Following the video targeting Melania, the Iranian state broadcaster IRIB aired a dedicated three-minute segment that directly profiled the 20-year-old.

The video claimed that Barron's daily movements are fully monitored, mapped out his university locations, showcased his Secret Service escort vehicles and even alleged that his personal gaming accounts on Xbox and Discord had been infiltrated.

It concluded by offering a $10 million reward for his assassination.

Following Washington's public alarm, Mohsen Rezaei, the secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, dismissed the specific $10 million bounty and plot reports as a "lie" during an interview on Lebanon's Al-Manar TV.

The targeted psychological warfare against the Trump family stems from broader, ongoing state conflicts.

Iranian state entities have repeatedly vowed blood revenge against Donald and his inner circle following the 2020 U.S. airstrike that killed Iranian General Qasem Soleimani, alongside massive escalations in the current war, which saw the death of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in late February 2026.
