'Boy Meets World' Star Turned Porn Sexpot Maitland Ward Pens 'Steamy' Memoir With 'Really Funny' Adult Film Stories
Innocent actress turned steamy porn star Maitland Ward is opening up about her life in the entertainment and adult film industry.
The former Boy Meets World star is penning an explosive tell-all memoir about her journey of going from a G-rated child star to creating X-rated, award-winning provocative flicks.
Ward promised her debut book, My Escape From Hollywood: Why I Left to Become a Porn Star, is a "steamy, no-holds-barred memoir." According to the 44-year-old, the highly anticipated book will have "tell-all stories of everything" from her Boy Meets World and The Bold and The Beautiful soap opera days to her days working with the high end XXX site Deeper.com — which landed her several Adult Video News awards.
For her book, Ward originally wrote "sample chapters" of her "really funny" experiences in the porn industry, telling New York Post that her memoir, "feels like a Sex and the City kind of thing. I think it’s going to be very conversational."

The red-headed stunner said she's been motivated to share her story due to the overwhelming amount of support from fans, particularly women. "Young women are so excited about just me being sexually unapologetic," she insisted. "That’s what I was most taken aback [by] in this whole journey, of how supportive millennial women have been to me."
She also told the outlet she's been writing her story by herself, with "no ghostwriters or anything."
Ward's memoir, which will be published by Simon & Schuster’s Atria books division in 2022, isn't the only project she has in the works. In April, the actress confirmed her return to mainstream television. OK! revealed she is set to star in and produce the new comedy series, The Big Time, which will center around a “world-famous adult superstar."
Despite venturing into the literature field and returning to television, she has no plan to stop her work in porn, as she will also continue to show off for her OnlyFans subscribers.
“I want to slay both industries,” Ward said. “I love and embrace both. Me being bold and free in my sexuality and so out there with it has really given me that power. When I was like this innocent flower, I was letting everyone else dictate what I should do or what I should be."
