Britney Spears' Ex-Husband Jason Alexander Reportedly Arrested For Violating A Restraining Order & Aggravated Stalking, Bond Set At $30,000
Britney Spears' former husband Jason Alexander has been arrested for allegedly violating a restraining order.
The pop star's ex — who she infamously married in 2004 at a Las Vegas Chapel for a mere 55 hours — was reportedly arrested on Thursday, December 30, in Franklin, Tennessee. Alexander, 40, was charged with a violation of order of protection as well as aggravated stalking.
The Louisiana native's bond was set for $30,000, and the Franklin Police Department revealed Alexander has a court date set for February 17, according to Us Weekly. It's unclear what exactly happened prior to his arrest or who filed the restraining order against Alexander.
Meanwhile, this wasn't the first time Alexander had a run-in with the law. The "Toxic' singer's childhood friend was arrested in August at the airport in Nashville for an alleged air security violation after he reportedly left the secure side of TSA and tried to bypass the line.
Seven months before, Alexander was reportedly arrested and charged with driving under the influence, unlawful use of drug paraphernalia and possession or casual exchange of a controlled substance.

During an appearance on the Toxic: The Britney Spears Story podcast earlier this summer, Alexander gave insight into how Spears' team, as well as her parents, broke the two up after their quick chapel ceremony all those years ago.
"They told me if I would sign the contracts — the annulment — they would let me and Britney continue our relationship, and if we felt the same way in six months they would give us a proper marriage," he explained at the time, per the outlet.
“So I had no reason to believe otherwise,” the chart topper's ex reportedly continued. “I thought that’s what the truth was. They were allowing Britney and I to still have phone communication."
"So we were talking every day and I still believed the story I was told, that they were going to let us continue to talk and then we would have this marriage … in the future if we felt the same way," Alexander added, per the outlet.
However, one month after their annulment, Alexander claimed Spears' phone number was changed, so the two had no way of contacting each other. Though the pair eventually got back in touch, the Princess of Pop went on to marry Kevin Federline, with whom she shares children Preston, 16, and Jayden, 15.
The former flames tied the knot in 2004 and split three years later. Spears is now engaged to longtime beau Sam Asghari, who proposed to the songstress in September.
