Catherine Zeta Jones Spends Weekend Singing & Dancing With Friends As She And Husband Michael Douglas Hit Apparent Breaking Point
There's nothing that some good music and great company can't fix.
While rumors circulate that Catherine Zeta-Jones and husband Michael Douglas have hit a breaking point, the brunette beauty, 52, appears to be turning towards her pals to lift her spirits.
Zeta-Jones took to her Instagram over the weekend to offer her 4 million followers a glimpse of what she's been up to, sharing an energized video of her and her friends singing together before she gets up to dance, as her friend plays the piano.
While smiling ear-to-ear as she moves her hips and taps around the room, her pals cheer her on with supportive clapping. "Love my friends," the mother-of-two — who shares children Dylan, 21, and Carys, 18, with Douglas — captioned her light-hearted video. "This is what happens when we get together."
"Joy," she added with a double pink heart emoji.
The Welsh actress' fun-filled weekend comes as OK! exclusively learned her marriage to the actor and producer, 77, is on the rocks, with a source pointing out that their age difference is starting to show.
"Michael’s getting on in years, and he’s not exactly a hunk of love these days," the insider dished, "and that’s a sore point for Catherine."

And while the 52-year-old gushed to WSJ. Magazine last April that the secret to keeping their marriage alive was to have fun together, per People, it seems she is now turning towards her friends to give her that joy in life.
Apart from their 25-year age difference playing a factor in their apparent estranged relationship, the insider spilled that Zeta-Jones’ career resurgence is taking a toll on the famous couple. “They are like two ships passing in the night,” added the source of the tension building up at home. "Friends fear they are just going through the motions at this point."
Meanwhile, the Hollywood duo has come back from worse in the past, as they previously split up in 2013 after deciding to take "some time apart to evaluate and work on their marriage," as Zeta-Jones’ rep explained at the time.
MICHAEL DOUGLAS PREEMPTIVELY DENIES MAJOR SEXUAL MISCONDUCT ALLEGATIONS
After getting their relationship back on track, Zeta-Jones and Douglas were hit with another obstacle when he was slapped with sexual assault allegations in January 2018 by a former employee. “It was a tough hurdle to get over," the insider recalled of the scandal.
And while Zeta-Jones may be OK walking away from the life she's built with Douglas — as the insider pointed out: "Catherine’s happy to be working so much," and is home less since her kids are all grown up — they noted the Basic Instinct star could spiral out of control if his wife leaves for good.
"They have a lot to hang in there for," the source concluded of the apparent troubled pair. "It’s been hard, but they’ve made it this long, and loved ones are confident Catherine and Michael will be able to work through their problems and come out on the other side."
The Kominsky Method star and Chicago actress first met in 1998, with Douglas getting down on one knee in 1999.
