At a recent Fan Expo, per a clip shared via Instagram, Evans, 45, said, "I have a daughter now and … you need a really good reason to want to go to work now. So, you know, priorities have shifted a bit."

Evans Previously Spoke About His Dreams to Start a Family
Chris Evans previously spoke about his dreams of starting a family of his own.
In 2022, before getting hitched and welcoming his first child, Evans got candid about his dreams of starting a family of his own.
Talking to People at the time, he admitted, "That’s absolutely something I want."
He added, per Us Weekly, "When you read about most of the best artists, whether it’s actors, painters, writers, most of them [admit] it wasn’t the work they made [that they are most proud of], it was about the relationships; the families they created, the love they found, the love they shared."
Evans Proposed to Baptista in Portuguese

As private as the pair continue to keep their married life, Evans did share that he popped the question to the actress in her native language.
He told The Knot, "I proposed to my wife in Portuguese. She’s Portuguese, so I learned how to say, ‘Will you marry me?’ in Portuguese. I had practiced it all week."
He continued, "I had practiced it so much that while I’d be making breakfast, and you almost just start saying it out loud. Like, ‘Oh God, that’s not just a song that’s stuck in my head! It’s gonna let the cat out of the bag.’"
"I got really nervous when it came time to do it," he added. "I actually think I screwed it up, but I still know it."
