Claudia Conway Auditions For 'American Idol' Amid Kellyanne Controversy — See The Commercial
A secret talent? Viewers were surprised to see Claudia Conway in a commercial for American Idol on Monday, February 8, as the teen auditioned for the talent show.
The 16-year-old's audition will air on Sunday, February 14.
"You heard that right. @claudiamconwayy is looking for a golden ticket Find out Sunday if she has what it takes to be #TheNextIdol on #AmericanIdol," American Idol teased on Twitter.
"I’m very nervous but very excited," Claudia said in the teaser. "My parents [Kellyanne Conway and George Conway] are high profile political figures."
Clips from the trailer show Kellyanne seemingly wishing her daughter luck via a video screen, and a moment where Claudia sits down with her dad.
"We want an American Idol," judge Katy Perry told Claudia in the commercial but we’ll have to wait until next weekend to hear the influencer sing.
This comes after rumors circulated in November 2020 that Claudia auditioned when she posted a clip on social media from a studio that had the American Idol logo in the background. She also posted a video with Perry on TikTok.

"Claudia and her siblings are taught to be independent self-starters and free thinkers who dream big and aim high," Kellyanne said at the time.
"She sets goals and works toward them. Of course, American Idol is next level!
"We are proud of Claudia for entering the arena and sharing her beautiful voice and inspirational message about mental health with others."
Claudia confirmed on TikTok that her audition will air. "I've been singing my whole life," she shared.
However, Claudia has since been making headlines when she made steep allegations about her mom on social media and fans were concerned to see her on the reality show.
"I get giving Claudia an opportunity, but no one wants to see her parents on screen with everything going on in their personal life. Is @AmericanIdol not aware of the photo that was leaked? If she makes it to live shows, I hope we don't see a tribute to kellyanne on mom's day," one user wrote.
"Look, the girl is just starstruck like many teens her age. Maybe she does have a good voice. So, I wish her well. But, I worry about the whirlwind that is spinning around her. She's been on a roller-coaster," another said.
"She needs emotional support and mental health care. Regardless of the American Idol audition outcome, this is not right. In fact, it is unethical," a third added.
"I’m just in a situation that’s really physically, mentally, and emotionally abusive and I think it’s important that everybody sees that," Claudia said on TikTok after she released clips of a woman who is suspected to be Kellyanne yelling at her.
However, things took a steep turn when a topless photo of Claudia was allegedly posted to Kellyanne’s Twitter account last month. The image was reportedly posted on Kellyanne’s Fleets, which is similar to an Instagram Story, on January 25 and swiftly disappeared.
"I know that my mother would never put something like that on the internet as well as me — we would never do that. My mom and I, we fight like mothers and daughters, but we also love like mothers and daughters, and I do love her," Claudia commented.
Last week a spokesperson for the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office exclusively told OK! that Kellyanne is still under investigation about the incident but there are no updates or major developments in the case.
