Donald Trump Acts Like the 'CEO' of His Marriage to Melania, Expert Says: ‘He’s the Boss’

President Donald Trump’s attempt at flag-waving during the Freedom 250 IndyCar Grand Prix, which he attended alongside his wife, Melania Trump, has drawn much mockery, but a body language expert saw something other than ridicule in the way he waved that green flag.

Body language expert Inbaal Honigman analyzed the couple’s interaction, in which they appeared to have had a heated conversation. She spotted some revealing details, from the POTUS appearing to “grit his teeth in annoyance” during his flag-waving attempt to signs that he wants everyone to know he’s the “boss” in his marriage.

“Trump wants everyone to know he’s the boss in his marriage,” Hongiman told OK!, referring to the president as the “CEO” of his relationship. “His hand placed decisively over Melania’s is interpreted as sending a clear message about who is in charge.”

“Trump appears to be ‘pumping himself up’ after realizing the flag display isn’t going well,” Honigman said. “His raised chin and increasingly forceful movements suggest he’s trying to encourage himself and manifest success. The president waves the flag as if he's never attempted flag waving before this very second.”

Trump, she says, was unsuccessfully trying to control the flag like he does his acolytes.

“The jerky, uncertain movements of his hand and wrist are one thing. Trump seems to be expecting the flag to behave entirely differently, to float gracefully through the air rather than follow his clutched hand and mirror his movements,” she explained.

While it appeared that his hand touching her repelled her, the expert said the octogenarian had reasons other than affection for his action.

“His stance suggests that anyone who wants to talk to her has to go through him first,” Honigman explained.

The expert also claims Melania will never write a tell-all book because her behavior is interpreted as evidence that she is “part of the narrative, not a hapless victim.”

“Melania appears absolutely on board with letting her husband lead, as her legs are crossed toward him approvingly. This is a clear sign that Melania has no political ambitions and will never write a tell-all book. She is part of the narrative, not a hapless victim. Their body language indicates that the First Lady is joining forces with her powerful husband in griping about the same targets,” she explained.

As for the president’s attempt at pleasantries, they’re seemingly not genuine.

“Trump’s smile is not authentic,” Inbaal says. She explained that his serene, almost “beatific” expression is completely at odds with the forceful way he is wrenching the flag from side to side.

“As he rattles the flag from side to side, Trump adopts a beatific smile. The Leader of the Free World attempts a serene, radiant facial expression that conveys profound bliss, inner peace, and saintly contentment. But this calm expression is entirely at odds with the forceful wrenching of the flag, indicating that the smile is not authentic. If Trump were genuinely at peace, the flag would behave very differently in his hand,” she said.
