Ella Langley is having a little fun with Doja Cat's unfamiliarity with her music.

After Doja Cat admitted she did not know who Langley was, the country singer shared a cheeky response on social media.

Langley captioned a recent Instagram post of hers from The Dandelion Tour and wrote: "Ella Langley? What is that?"

Doja Cat admitted she did not know who Ella Langley was.

The exchange began during the August 23 episode of Caleb Pressley's "Sundae Conversation" podcast.

When Pressley asked Doja Cat if she was an "Ella's Fella," the singer appeared confused.

"I don’t know what that is," she said.

Pressley then asked whether she liked Langley, prompting a similar reaction.

"I don’t know what that is," she repeated.

Doja Cat later said Langley’s name out loud before Pressley encouraged her to listen to the singer’s music.

At the time, per Vice, Langley’s "Choosin’ Texas" was spending its 19th week at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Doja Cat later addressed the reaction to her comments during an Instagram Live.

After listening to "Choosin’ Texas," she gave Langley credit for her vocals while making it clear that she doesn't "give a f--- about country music."

"This is not my vibe, but she has a very pretty voice. If this is No. 1 on the charts, I’m sure it’s on the radio. I could see them playing this s--- on the radio. I don’t like it, but that’s fine. It’s very earworm-y it sounds like, it’s like, catchy melody. I get it, and she’s pretty," she said.

"I don’t understand what’s so hard to believe about that," she said.

She continued, "I never cared. I like that one Keith Urban song from 2004. I wouldn’t say that I like [Langley’s] music; she’s probably a fine lady. I don’t care for that type of s--- at all. It doesn’t inspire me, it doesn’t make me feel good."

Per Entertainment Weekly, Langley has become one of country music’s rising names, with "Choosin’ Texas" driving much of her recent success.

The singer-songwriter began releasing music on YouTube in 2017 before signing with Columbia Records in 2023.

She also made her debut at the Grand Ole Opry a week later.
