During an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Blunt recounted the entertaining moment when Streep danced to the popular ABBA song “Mamma Mia.”

The wedding took place in 2010 on the scenic shores of Lake Como, Italy, where Blunt and Krasinski exchanged vows. Streep, who starred in the original Mamma Mia! film, was persuaded to join the celebration by both mothers, Blunt’s mother, Joanna, and Krasinski’s mother, Mary Clare.
Blunt explained the exciting atmosphere, saying, “[The DJ] would sing the songs in half-Italian, half-English … he started playing 'Mamma Mia,' and my mom and John’s mom started dancing ominously towards Meryl.”
The unexpected request proved to be a memorable moment of fun and laughter.

After the dance, Blunt inquired about Streep’s feelings during the experience. Streep replied, “I wanted to hurl myself into the lake.”
