Disgraced Ex-Prince Andrew Will Still Receive Royal Funeral Despite Epstein-Related Arrest and King Charles Stripping His Titles, Report Claims

Ex-Prince Andrew will reportedly still receive a royal funeral with all the bells and whistles when he passes on despite losing his royal titles last year and his recent arrest.

The former Duke of York, 66, is allegedly on a top-secret government list of royal family members who will have high-profile funeral ceremonies when they perish.

According to Daily Mail, each member of The Firm has their own detailed outlines — known as the “bridge plans" — that are put in place when they die and are planned well in advance.

Each individual's plan is named for a famous bridge in the United Kingdom, as the late Queen Elizabeth's funeral project was named "Operation London Bridge."

The queen — who died in September 2022 — had her funeral plan revised and prepared from as far back as the 1960s.

When her husband, Prince Philip, died a year earlier, his death procedure was known as “Operation Forth Bridge." These course of actions outline the specific protocols and security measures needed to handle each member of the royal family's passings.

While plans are kept extremely highly-classified until the person dies, Daily Mail alleged Andrew’s funeral mass will be held at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle before he is put to rest on the Royal Burial Ground at Frogmore.

Frogmore is 33–acre private cemetery that is located in Home Park, Windsor. Andrew would join his ancestors, such as the late Queen Mother, Princess Margaret, Edward VIII and Queen Victoria, who are also buried there.

While all sovereigns were previously interred in the Royal Vault that sits below St. George’s Chapel, the availability of free space has dwindled in the last few decades.

Andrew's unearthed connections to Jeffrey Epstein in recent years have caused controversy, leading to brother King Charles yanking away his royal titles in October 2025.

The Royal Navy veteran was also evicted from his longtime Windsor home, the Royal Lodge, at the time and he subsequently moved into a small abode on The Firm's Sandringham Estate in Norfolk.

This past February — on his 66th birthday — Andrew was arrested by Thames Valley cops on suspicion of misconduct in public office. The disgraced royal allegedly sent the financier confidential U.K. documents while serving as a trade envoy in the 2010s.

Since 1930, the Royal Burial Ground has been the entombment site for numerous senior royals, excluding the monarch and their immediate family.

Andrew's pallbearers will likely be officers from the Royal Navy, as he served as a pilot for the naval warfare force from 1979 until 2001 and was active during the Falklands War.

Retired Rear Admiral Chris Parry, told Daily Mail that he believes the Navy would provide volunteers for pallbearers at Andrew’s funeral service.

“The guy doesn’t relinquish being a naval officer,” Parry said. “He wasn’t thrown out. He had a Falklands medal, and you can’t take that away from him, and he deserves the credit for that. If somebody said to me, ‘Would you do it?’ I’d do it.’”
