Gigi Hadid Feels Her 'Daughter Needs Her Dad' & Has 'Made It Clear' That Zayn Malik Will Not Be Cut Off Following Assault Scandal With Yolanda Hadid
Gigi Hadid has "made it clear" that despite her breakup with Zayn Malik — and his alleged assault on her mother Yolanda Hadid — the singer is not going anywhere when it comes to their daughter.
A source tells People that the supermodel, 26, has no intention of cutting the former One Direction member, 28, out of their 13-month-old daughter Khai's day-to-day life. An insider revealed, "Gigi will do everything she can to make sure [she and Malik] co-parent in a civil way."
"Yolanda is very upset with Zayn, but Gigi has made it clear that her daughter needs her dad," the source close to the family detailed.
As OK! previously reported, the fashion icon and the "Better" singer recently split after an alleged September 29 dispute between Malik and the former RHOBH star at Gigi and Malik's shared Pennsylvania home.
According to legal documents, the Bradford native allegedly "grabbed [Yolanda] and shoved her into a dresser," during the heated argument. Malik also reportedly screamed different derogatory terms at the 57-year-old and told her to "stay away from" his daughter.

The "Vibes" musician was charged with four counts of harassment to which he pleaded no contest. Malik will now have to serve 90 days of probation for each of the four counts. The entertainer — who must complete an anger management class and a domestic violence program — is also barred from having contact with Yolanda or her bodyguard, who witnessed the fight.
"Yolanda came over uninvited while Gigi was away for work and Zayn was taking care of Khai," a source close to Malik explained about the altercation. "That led to an argument."
On October 28, news broke that the pop artist had allegedly "struck" the former reality star and that she was thinking about filing a report. Malik gave a statement to TMZ that read, "I adamantly deny striking Yolanda Hadid."
"I hope that Yolanda will reconsider her false allegations and move towards healing these family issues in private," Malik — who has been in an on and off again relationship with Gigi since 2015 — concluded his statement.
