Zayn Malik Previously Fought With Yolanda Hadid Over Photos Of Baby He Shares With Gigi Posted Online
Zayn Malik is facing charges that he allegedly got physical with Gigi Hadid’s mom in a heated altercation back in September.
The former boy band singer has been accused of shoving Yolanda Hadid into a dresser during an argument at his Pennsylvania home, but it doesn’t seem to be the first time the pair have butted heads.
According to a source from The Sun, friends of Gigi revealed that Malik previously lost his temper on Yolanda when she posted a photo of his daughter’s face.
The source explained that the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum posted a photo of his and Gigi’s baby Khai, whose face they were trying to keep from the public.
However, the doting grandmother didn’t realize that the baby’s face was visible to her millions of Instagram followers through the reflection of a mirror in the background, a mistake that pushed Malik over the edge.
“Back in January, Yolanda accidentally posted a photo of Khai where you could see her face and Zayn went crazy — he’s so protective of his daughter’s privacy, he was so mad,” the source stated.
Even though Yolanda deleted the photo immediately, she couldn’t salvage the damage that was already done, including the effect it had on her relationship with her daughter’s beau.
“Yolanda doesn’t see what this issue is, but Zayn — and Gigi — are very against their child being photographed and it’s been a huge cause of tension between them.”

The outlet also reported that the former One Direction member has previously admitted to the public that he often clashes with Yolanda, who brought her own daughters onto a reality show at a young age.
Despite their rocky relationship, Malik insisted that he never got physical with Yolanda, telling TMZ, “I adamantly deny striking Yolanda Hadid and for the sake of my daughter I decline to give any further details and I hope that Yolanda will reconsider her false allegations and move toward healing these family issues in private.”
The “Pillowtalk” singer pled no contest to the charges against him, meaning that he accepted the conviction while still not admitting to guilt.
Malik is facing repercussions from the conviction, including probation, anger management classes and a domestic violence program.
His relationship with Gigi also seemed to take a blow, as he and the model are reportedly not together following the incident.
Malik posted a lengthy statement to his Twitter account, where he asked the public for privacy on the matter.
“As you all know I am a private person and I very much want to create a safe and private space for my daughter to grow up in. A place where private family matters aren’t thrown on the world stage for all to poke and pick apart,” he wrote in the Tweet on Thursday, October 28. “In an effort to protect that space for her I agreed to not contest claims arising from an argument I had with a family member of my partner’s who entered our home while my partner was away several weeks ago.”
He continued, “This was and still should be a private matter but it seems for now there is divisiveness and despite my efforts to restore us to a peaceful family environment that will allow for me to co-parent my daughter in a manner in which she deserves, this has been “leaked” to the press.”
“I am hopeful though for healing for all involved with the harsh words shared and more importantly I remain vigilant to protect Khai and give her the privacy she deserves,” the end of the post read.
