Ioan Gruffudd Files For Divorce After Wife Alice Evans Accuses Him Of 'Leaving His Family' On Twitter
Making it official.
After a very public split which was exposed on social media, Ioan Gruffudd has filed for divorce from his wife of 13 years, Alice Evans, per court documents.
The Fantastic Four actor filed a divorce petition on Monday at the Stanley Mosk Courthouse in Los Angeles, according to Us Weekly. The case is listed as “dissolution with minor children.”

As OK! previously reported, Evans tweeted that her husband had called it quits on their marriage and put the 47-year-old on blast.
"Sad news. My believed husband/soulmate of 20 years, Ioan Gruffudd, has announced he is to leave his family, starting next week," she revealed in the now-deleted tweet last month. "Me and our young daughters girls are very confused and sad. We haven’t been given a reason except that he 'no longer loves me.'"
"I didn’t delete the tweet from a few hours ago about him leaving. He did. From my account," Evans tweeted hours later. "And hell yes when I am being gaslit and mentally tortured then hell yes I will wash my linen in public."

After users questioned why the actress was posting about her breakup on social media, the 49-year-old responded, “I think it’s how one acknowledges there’s no returning to what existed before. Accepting it by stating it publicly helps you to recognize the impossibility if reconciliation.
"This is exactly why. And thank you. Six months of harassment: yes/no/maybe. I cannot live anymore like this," The Mentalist actress added.
Later on, the former flames released a joint statement about where they stand. "As you can imagine, this is an incredibly difficult time for our family and we remain committed to our children. Thank you for respecting our privacy."
Evans and Gruffudd met on the set of 102 Dalmatians in 2000 and tied the knot in 2007. The two share two daughters, Ella, 11, and Elsie, 7.

Last year, Gruffudd hinted there was trouble in his marriage revealing that the couples’ busy schedules had kept them apart for the last several years.
"I think we’ve struggled the past four years, making time for each other because physically we’re apart," he told The Guardian in February 2020.
