MS Now correspondent Jen Psaki roasted Melania Trump's first public appearance in more than a month while pointing out the current administration's abnormalities.
Trump appeared at the White House Rose Garden on Thursday, August 20, to announce a $2 million donation from IndyCar and Fox Corp. to expand her "Fostering the Future" scholarship for children in foster care.
"Good afternoon. I heard you missed me? Here I am," the first lady kicked off the speech.
'That Is Not Normal'

Jen Psaki slammed Donald Trump's administration as 'not normal.'
Psaki used the mom-of-one's speech as an indicator that so much of Donald Trump's second administration is "not normal," including "for the first lady of the United States to have to come out and remind us all that she exists."
"There are a lot of times in the Trump era that we have to remind ourselves ... that what's happening is not in any way normal," the anchor pointed out.
"[Melania] has only been seen in public 38 days this year," she added. "That is not normal."

Natalie Harp has raised questions as Donald Trumps's secretary.
Jen also poked fun at White House Appointments Secretary Natalie Harp's constant presence at the president's side, which has sparked speculation about their unusually close relationship.
"I don't mean it's not normal for the president to have aides who travel with him everywhere, including female aides. Believe me, I've been one of those several times," she noted. "Plenty of presidents have those, but it is not normal for a person working in the White House to write intimate, devotional personal letters for the president. "Never mind leave them in his personal spaces."

Natalie Harp has been known to give the president private letters.
Harp has been known to travel closely with Donald and frequently leaves him deeply personal notes.
Jen stated it's not normal "for a staffer to ride inside the trunk of a car just to be close to the president as CNN reports that Natalie Harp did, to be close to Trump back in 2023."
The assistant to the president has also been accused of having access to privileged information without the proper security clearance.
Donald Trump's 'Adult Babysitter'

Jen Psaki called Natalie Harp the president's 'adult babysitter.'
"For a person without a security clearance, who refused to fill out the forms for some reason, to have close regular access to the president... It's not normal for that same person to be the point of contact for foreign leaders hoping to speak to the president," she continued.
Jen even referred to Natalie as the POTUS' "babysitter" while his wife was nowhere to be found.
"[It's] not normal for the president to basically have an adult babysitter of sorts, to have a human security blanket who accompanies him everywhere he goes," she declared. "But that is the role that Natalie Harp plays for Donald Trump."
