Rising Democratic star, Georgia Sen. Jon Ossoff, is leaning into the aggressive backlash from MAGA allies after targeting President Donald Trump's close personal aide Natalie Harp during an August reelection campaign speech.

The political feud escalated rapidly after Ossoff accused Trump of neglecting his duties, claiming Trump prefers to "build a ballroom and travel with Natalie" on his presidential aircraft.

The remark provoked immediate outrage from the White House and conservative commentators, who accused Ossoff without irony of making sexist innuendos.

Meanwhile, Democrats have expressed enthusiasm for Ossoff's willingness to confront the administration and aggressively dominate the media cycle.

The White House called Jon Ossoff a 'loser.'

During an Atlanta campaign rally, Ossoff attacked Trump's foreign policy and work ethic. He stated that Trump "doesn't want to do the job" and focuses instead on golfing, trading stocks, and traveling with Harp.

The comment specifically highlighted Harp's constant presence on high-profile presidential travel, including a secretive military jet flight.

White House Communications Director Steven Cheung responded on social media with highly personal insults, calling Ossoff a "loser.”

Trump personally mocked Ossoff, publicly comparing him to "Pee-wee Herman.”

'Amazing to Watch'

Jon Ossoff mocked Donald Trump and his aide Natalie Harp.

Conservative media figures and Republican allies slammed the Georgia senator with what critics dubbed performative outrage, calling his remarks sexist, misogynistic, "disgusting rumors," and cheap innuendo against a qualified staffer.

Appearing on The Last Word with Lawrence O'Donnell on MS NOW, Ossoff laughed off the anger.

“Lawrence, it’s been amazing to watch this White House melt down over this all week. And as for Natalie Harp, these White House staffers are adults, public officials paid by taxpayers with immense power in positions of public trust. And whether it’s Natalie Harp printing out Donald Trump’s daily dose of delusion and flattery, or Peter Navarro steering taxpayer-funded loans to Trump family investments, or Pete Hegseth deluding the president daily into deepening this quagmire in the Middle East, no one cares about their feelings,” the senator said.

Natalie Harp is Donald Trump's loyal aide.

Ossoff doubled down on his critique, clarifying that he views Harp and other enablers as Trump's "security blanket" who insulate him from reality and only feed him flattery.

The sailors on the Lincoln are fighting his war, a war based on lies, while he plays with his new ballroom, flies around on a jet given to him by a foreign prince, and retreats into this circle of sycophantic aides who tell him every day what he wants to hear, not what he needs to hear. This entire White House is responsible for lying the country into war, and for the rest of their careers, they will be known for having participated in this obscenity,” he concluded.

Democrats Back Jon Ossoff

Jon Ossoff shrugged off the drama.

Fellow Democrats have embraced the strategy, eager for a party leader who can successfully capture national attention and keep the administration on the defensive ahead of the midterms.

Democratic strategist Lynda Tran praised Ossoff's attack, saying that while candidates must stay laser-focused on economic challenges, "people are looking for leaders who are up for a fight."

She noted that Ossoff’s approach effectively marries "substance and fight."
