Jennifer Aniston MIA From 'The Morning Show' Red Carpet In Los Angeles After Rumored Rift With Costar Reese Witherspoon
Where in the world is Jennifer Aniston?
After OK! spilled that the Friends alum and once-bestie Reese Witherspoon were at odds during filming of the highly-anticipated season 2 of The Morning Show, Aniston was mysteriously missing from cast photos taken on Wednesday, September 8.
Most of the cast ascended on the Four Seasons Hotel in sunny Los Angeles, including newcomer Julianna Marguiles, stunner Karen Pittman, Hasan Minhaj and of course Witherspoon… but Aniston was nowhere to be seen.
The Legally Blonde star captivated the carpet in a gorgeous red two-piece pant suit with a form-fitting black shirt underneath. She had her blonde locks tucked behind her ears as she sported big hoop earrings.
As OK! previously reported, “there was some friction” between Aniston and Witherspoon on set of The Morning Show, an insider dished, noting that between takes, there was “some eye rolling and whispering going on.”
The source noted the costars “used to hang out when the cameras weren’t rolling, but not now.” After the Marley & Me star — who many believed was a shoo-in for an Emmy Award for her role in the series — was snubbed at the ceremony, the source claimed it soured the “overall atmosphere” on set.

Adding fuel to the fire of a rumored rift between the two Hollywood legends, things got a little uncomfortable earlier this week when Aniston appeared to be feisty during an interview while promoting season 2 of the hit Apple TV+ series.
Appearing on BBC’s The One Show, Aniston — who plays outspoken morning show cohost Alex Levy — was quizzed about what it was like to go undercover at Good Morning America to get inspiration for her character.
“I learned the slow burn that it is,” the 52-year-old actress told hosts Zoe Ball and Jermaine Jenas on Wednesday, September 8. “I got there at five in the morning and the hallways were quiet and people are just slowly waking up and then all of a sudden, the train starts moving and it gets crazier and crazier. It's utter chaos.”
Jenas then turned to Witherspoon and said: “Reese, I am going to be honest with you. Jennifer pretty much sold it to be that she is not a morning person, so I am going to ask you, are you a morning person?”
A clearly annoyed Aniston interjected, saying, “Did I sell that to you?” to which Jenas replied, “A little bit.”
“Did I get a good deal?” Aniston shot back. Viewers quickly noticed the cringeworthy exchange and flocked to social media to call it out: “Jennifer Anniston’s [sic] ‘tude in this interview is cringe. She keeps on looking to the side. Awkward.”
The Morning Show season 2 premieres September 27, on Apple TV+.
