Jennifer Lopez & Ben Affleck Cozy Up Together During Stroll With Pal Matt Damon
Matt Damon happily served as the third wheel during an outing with BFF Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez in Los Angeles.
On Sunday, August 8, the 50-year-old was spotted smiling ear-to-ear as he walked alongside Bennifer, who were holding hands on the private beach near Paradise Cove. Damon — who has been friends with his Good Will Hunting costar for years — donned a white T-shirt with black shorts and a baseball cap, according to photos obtained by TMZ.
Affleck, 48, also kept it casual for their outing, wearing a blue T-shirt and black pants. Meanwhile, the Latin pop star, 52, outshined the handsome hunks by opting for an elegant, white coverup.
The Hollywood crew's day out comes after Damon gushed over Affleck's rekindled romance with his ex-fiancée. "I’m just so happy for him. He’s the best," the Jason Bourne star candidly told Extra in July of his best friend. "He deserves every happiness in the world. I’m glad for both of them."
While addressing their relationship once again, Damon later offered up a sarcastic answer when asked by SiriusXM host Jess Cagle about whether he was happy Affleck and Lopez got back together following their 2004 split. "How else would I be? Like would I be unhappy?” he comically responded while laughing. "Like I hate true love, it sucks."
Affleck's friend may be over the moon for the power couple, but the same can't be said for everyone else who has been in their inner-circle. In particular, it seems Lopez's ex, Alex Rodriguez, is far from pleased about their re-coupling, given that the Gigli costars connected shortly after the former flames' April split.
Apart from Rodriguez taking digs at his ex as a way for him to move on — OK! reported the retired MLB player “finds it therapeutic” making jokes at Lopez's expense — the father-of-two is apparently eager to make Lopez jealous with his own rebound.
“At this point, Alex feels so betrayed and humiliated that he’s got nothing much to lose. His priorities right now are having fun — and getting even," the OK! source dished.
However, Rodriguez's standards are high when it comes to his next flame, as an insider claimed: "There is no way we will see Alex dating again until he finds himself an A-list actress with an Oscar," pointing out that he's extremely competitive with everything.
Meanwhile, Lopez is busy falling more and more in love with her man, with an insider exclusively telling OK!: "Jen has zero doubt that Ben is her soulmate, and he’s equally smitten," following their recent trip to the French Riviera to celebrate the "On The Floor" songstress' 52nd birthday.
