Following their high-profile splits, Jennifer Lopez and ex-fiancé Ben Affleck have turned to each other for solace, and OK! recently learned that the Latin superstar is “open” to rekindling her romance with Affleck nearly two decades after they were engaged. Now, a source has revealed their reunion is exactly what the two need right now.

“Ben and Jennifer were in the same mindset after their breakups,” a source dished, referring to their recent splits. Lopez ended things with her former fiancé, MLB legend Alex Rodriguez, in April; and Affleck broke up with actress Ana de Armas earlier this year.

“It’s good for both of them now,” the insider dished, adding: “And not that surprising.” OK! was the first to exclusively spill that Lopez was seeking comfort from Affleck as her relationship with Rodriguez continued to crumble.

Then, OK! learned that Affleck had been secretly wooing his former fiancée, sending her love notes while she was still engaged to the athlete, with reports claiming the emails date back to February. Affleck would allegedly write to Lopez and tell her “how beautiful” she was and how he “wished he could be down” in the Dominican Republic — where she was filming Shotgun Wedding — with her.

So, is Bennifer back on? As OK! reported, the former flames did recently take a quick getaway to Montana together near a resort in Big Sky where the Batman star has a home, and a source dished the two had a “strong connection.”

Their romantic getaway, which OK! learned included a stay at the ultra-exclusive Yellowstone Club, where Affleck is a member, saw the two taking intimate walks and dips in the hot tub as well as having fabulous meals cooked by a private chef. It must have worked wonders on Lopez, as she appears to be fully committed to giving her relationship with Affleck another chance.

Although Lopez and Affleck appear to be happy with their reunion, one person who is not taking their rumored rekindling well is the singer’s recent ex, Rodriguez.

Paparazzi caught up with the athlete shortly after Bennifer's romantic getaway and asked him how he felt about the two vacationing together. The MLB icon simply responded, "Go Yankees." Some interpreted his response as a dig at Affleck, a notorious Boston Red Socks fan.

While the 45-year-old former slugger seemed to brush off questions about his ex's new rumored romance, sources say he's not taking the news of Bennifer 2.0 too well. "A-Rod is shocked that J.Lo has moved on," OK! reported. "He truly thought they would be able to make it work and reconnect. He has been reaching out to J.Lo trying to meet with her and she has been very short with him."

According to a source, Rodriguez was "saddened" by the reunion and reached out to tell Lopez that "he's upset," but the 51-year-old is "not interested in rekindling anything with A-Rod and is done."

PEOPLE was the first to report on Lopez & Affleck's reunion feelings.
