Josh Duggar Appeared 'Teary-Eyed' As Guilty Verdict Was Read, Told Wife Anna He 'Loved' Her While Being Hauled Off To Jail: Report

Josh Duggar was found guilty of two charges of receiving and possessing child pornography on Thursday, December 9.

A courtroom spy reported the disgraced reality TV star appeared "teary-eyed" as the jury read their verdict to the courtroom. Josh was ordered straight into custody where he was cuffed immediately and hauled away, reported The Sun. Josh was "solemn" and on his way out stopped to tell wife Anna he "loved" her as police escorted him out of the courtroom.

He faces up to 20 years of imprisonment and up to $250,000 in fines on each of the two counts. His sentencing will occur on a later date, which has yet to be announced.

Josh had been on trial in federal court in Arkansas since last week with his wife and some members of his family watching daily from the front row. The verdict comes nearly two years after Homeland Security agents swarmed Duggar's Wholesale Motorcars in 2019, seizing two personal devices and a work desktop that allegedly contained elicit photos of minors.

In one of the more emotional testimonies coming out of the trial, longtime family friend Bobye Holt claimed Josh admitted he had molested multiple underage girls from when he was 12 to when he was 15, with the youngest being a 5-year-old. “We have been friends with the Duggar's for 36 years. Our children were best friends,” she told the jury. “Our oldest was Josh's girlfriend in November of 2002. It was formal.”

That’s when Holt then tearfully described the moment Josh confessed to molesting the toddler. “On March 23, 2003, Mr. Duggar [Jim Bob] asked us to come over for an important matter,” she recalled. “They took us to their bedroom. Josh was on the floor.” Holt claimed Josh then confessed to “inappropriately touching” several girls when he was “12 to 15 years old,” with the youngest being a 5-year-old girl he molested during "bible time."

Last month Anna announced the birth of her and Josh's seventh child. “Meet little Madyson Lily Duggar! 💝,” she captioned a sweet pic of the newborn via Instagram on Tuesday, November 16. She also posted the same picture to her Instagram story, revealing that the baby girl was born on October 23.
