Julianne Hough Backflips Off Boat in Micro String Bikini During Italian Vacation: Watch

Julianne Hough is soaking up the sun while she still can!

The Dancing With the Stars co-host showed off her skills in a tiny gray bikini while backflipping off a boat into the ocean during her recent getaway to Sardinia, Italy.

In the video, shared to her Instagram Story on Tuesday, August 11, Hough looked toned and tan as she jumped into the crystal-clear water with the Italian landscape behind her.

She wore no accessories and left her short blonde bob down as she asked the woman behind the camera, "Ready?"

Throughout the rest of her story, the Footloose actress showed off her Italian street style and shared stunning photos of the luxury Hotel Capo d'Orso.

Also on August 11, she shared a carousel of more photos and videos with her approximately 5 million followers.

She captioned the post, "An ode to the nonnas of Sardinia… their sun-kissed skin and the sense that they haven’t just spent their lives working but living."

"I love my work and my ambition, but when I’m older, I’d rather be the grandmother with stories to tell than wonder if I hustled more than I lived," Hough added. "Grateful to @hotelcapodorso for reminding me to slow down, breathe the salty air, taste the wine, and watch those stories pass by over an espresso."

Her fans rushed to the comments section to rave over the post.

"La Dolce Vita is the only way to live," one wrote.

While Boy Meets World actress and former Dancing With the Stars contestant Danielle Fishel said, "Enjoy every second, Jules!!"

The trip comes just weeks after Hough celebrated her 38th birthday on July 20, marking the occasion with another Instagram post.

"Usually, I write to the younger version of myself, but this year I’m writing to the 38-year-old me," she said.

"I’ve spent years doing inner work, and while my relationships and human connection will always matter most, performing is my passion. Work is what fuels me. My career is what makes me come alive. Thank you for being on this journey with me for so many years."

Hough is also preparing to return to the ballroom alongside her co-host Alfonso Ribeiro for Season 35 of the popular dance competition on ABC Tuesday, September 15, with the two-night premiere continuing into the following evening.

Hough has dedicated almost two decades to the show, becoming a pro at just 18 years old and the youngest to ever win the Mirrorball Trophy.

Then in 2023, she stepped into the role of co-host opposite Ribeiro.

In a recent interview with People at the 2026 Disney Upfront, she and longtime judge Bruno Tonioli discussed the show's continued success, crediting the longevity to its “beating heart.”
