After news broke that Kim Kardashian planned to file for divorce from Kanye West, it seemed as though the couple’s relationship was broken beyond repair. However, OK! has learned there may be some hope left for Hollywood’s most famous twosome — if West has anything to do with it.
According to a source, West, 43, is in constant contact with his four children — North, 7, Saint, 5, Chicago, 2, and Psalm, 19 months — whom he sees on FaceTime, with plans for them to come visit him in Wyoming, which may be the reason he wants to keep the marriage alive… for the sake of seeing his kids.
“Kanye lives full-time at his ranch in Wyoming and has no plans to return to Los Angeles, where his wife and children call home,” the source dished to OK!, noting that Kardashian doesn’t plan to change her living arrangements either — so staying together would be crucial to keep family ties intact.
“Kanye isn’t going to change, and neither is Kardashian. So the question is can they both accept the current situation. Staying married but living apart?” questions the source, adding that the complicated relationship is still fraught with fights trying to “save” it.
Though it's been widely reported that Kardashian went so far as to hire famous divorce attorney Laura Wasser, “it must be acknowledged, Kim is frightened what will happen to him if she does decide to end it,” our source insists. “She still loves him.”
Another source told OK! that the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star has gone from frustrated to heartbroken as she deals with her husband and his mental health struggles: “Kim has known for some time that there were major problems in the marriage.”
Still, according to the first insider, "Kim believes she has married a genius, and this is the price you have to pay to be around such talent."
The source added, "They are still fighting to save the marriage." Only time will tell if Kim will go with her head or her heart.
