While word on the street is that Kim Kardashian is getting ready to split from Kanye West, "Kim was talking to friends today and never mentioned the divorce," a source exclusively tells OK!.
It's not a total surprise the couple is parting ways since they spent the holidays apart — West was in Wyoming, while Kardashian was at sister Kourtney Kardashian’s Lake Tahoe home with mom Kris Jenner, sisters Kendall Jenner and Khloé Kardashian, Scott Disick, Corey Gamble and La La Anthony.
Another sign there was trouble in paradise? Kim's wedding ring and engagement ring were missing from her holiday photos, and in one picture, she posed with her arms in the air, which is reminiscent of the infamous gleeful shot of Nicole Kidman in 2001 after she divorced Tom Cruise. "None of the Kardashians do anything without it all being meticulously planned out," a source told Page Six.
Rather than putting on a united front, Kim has been spotted multiple times in public without her wedding ring on. Instead, she has been wearing the diamond ring that replaced the one that was stolen in the infamous 2016 Paris robbery.
"Kim is signaling that she was over everything," an insider spilled.
"Now this divorce is happening because Kim has grown up a lot," a source said. “She is serious about taking the bar exam and becoming a lawyer, she is serious about her prison reform campaign. Meanwhile, Kanye is talking about running for president and saying other crazy s**t, and she’s just had enough of it."
For his part, West is "is completely over the entire family … He wants nothing to do with them."
"I been trying to get divorced since Kim met with Meek [Mill] at the Warldolf [sic] for 'prison reform,'" West tweeted in July. At the time, Kim knew it was "not a good look" to file for divorce while West was in the midst of struggling with his bipolar disorder.
At Kim’s 40th birthday in October 2020, things seemed to be getting better between the pair after West gifted the makeup mogul a hologram of her late father, Robert Kardashian, to wish her a happy birthday — and to tell her she married the "most genius man in the whole world."

However, West "showed up late and left early," a source revealed. "All he did was bring over the hologram of her father, Robert, then got out of here as fast as he could." West was also noticeably distant in the pictures from the birthday bash.
Later on, another insider told OK! that the Hollywood star's existing marital issues got worse after West ran for president. "Kim cannot wait for the presidential election on November 3rd to come and go as fast as possible. On a good day, Kanye seems to have forgotten that he is even running for President. But on a bad day, things are not good," the source said.
