The final "nail in the coffin" of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's marriage was her professional relationship with CNN commentator Van Jones, OK! has learned.
"Kanye is insanely jealous on Kim's relationship with Van Jonas. There is nothing romantic going on between Kim and Van, but there is no denying that she admires him, and he admires her," a source tells OK!.
"Kanye is deeply insecure and cannot stand the fact that Kim's life no longer revolves around him," the insider explains. "Her devotion to the kids is her number one priority, followed by criminal justice reform. Kanye feels like he has been pushed down her priority list and isn't happy about it.
"Van is handsome and smart," the source adds, noting that the KUWTK star, 40, is totally charmed by the handsome 52-year-old. "Plus, she's trying to pass the California Bar, and Van is already a lawyer. Kim has grown, and Kanye has stayed the same place."
In 2018, Jones met Kardashian at the White House to work together to seek a pardon for Alice Johnson — and was obviously drawn to her right from the start.
"Van thinks she is brilliant. Like most people he underestimated Kim as a reality star that became famous in a sex tape. But he was wrong. He thinks she will make an amazing lawyer," a pal tells OK!. "He talks with Kim at least a couple of times each week. Some weeks that is more than her husband does."

The revelation of the "POWER" rapper's jealousy comes just days after news broke that the Hollywood couple was getting a divorce, which threw fans, viewers (and, let's face it... even their haters!) into a frenzy.
It seems the makeup mogul's life hasn't revolved around her soon-to-be ex hubby, 43, for quite some time. Multiple sources have confirmed that Kardashian and West — who share children North, 7, Saint, 5, Chicago, 2, and Psalm, 19 months — have been living life independent from one another for months now.
