Khloé Kardashian is realizing that having a big sister certainly pays off. After an "unauthorized" photo of the Good American co-founder in a bikini, seemingly unedited, was accidentally posted to Instagram, it was apparently sis Kim Kardashian who quickly sprang into action.
According to Radar, the 40-year-old Kardashian was the one who reached out to the Instagram account she thought originally posted the 36-year-old's bikini shot. Kim apparently explained that the snap came from a private account owned by their beloved grandma, MJ Shannon, and asked them to delete it because it had been "doctored" and taken in the "worst lighting."
As OK! previously reported, the unedited picture was requested to be removed from Instagram over "copyright infringement."
KKW’s chief marketing officer, Tracy Romulus, explained that although the picture was (of course!) gorgeous, it was posted accidentally; however, she explained at the time that it was shared by an assistant. “The color edited photo was taken of Khloé during a private family gathering and posted to social media without permission by mistake by an assistant,” Romulus explained.
Romulus added, “Khloé looks beautiful but it is within the right of the copyright owner to not want an image not intended to be published taken down.”
Despite numerous attempts at damage control, the unedited bikini pic made the rounds on the internet and fans noticed that Khloé looked, well... different. Some, however, praised the reality star's body and insisted she continue to flaunt her unedited figure.
“Khloe Kardashian’s unedited bikini pic is fire," said one social media user. "Girl has her flat little tummy, her arms look toned, she’s snatched! It’s actually really nice to see what an unedited, unposed Kardashian body looks like.”
Another user commented that “it’s sad” how much social media influences body image.
“The unedited bikini pic of Khloe Kardashian is in no way 'bad' buts a stark reminder that social media is a complete lie," said the user. "There’s a whole team surrounding that family that are completely in control of their social media’s & editing to an incredibly high standard, it’s sad.”
While Khloé has yet to comment on the controversial photo, she has previously admitted to using and loving Facetune, which can heavily edit photos right from your phone.
While there may be commotion going on behind the scenes, Khloé seems totally unfazed by the entire ordeal, as she continues to post sponsored ads and share cute photos with her baby True from Easter Sunday.
