'The Kids Don't Know': Kim Kardashian & Kanye West's Children Remain In The Dark About Parents' Muddled Marriage
While Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's messy relationship has been making headlines for the past week, their four kids are said to be in the dark about their muddled marriage that is reportedly coming to an end.
"The kids don't know anything about the problems their parents are having," a source recently revealed, noting that the makeup mogul, 40, and "Power" crooner have been "working in different states" since West bought his Wyoming ranch in September 2019. "Their kids are very used to their dad living in another state."
Multiple sources have confirmed that the power couple — who share children North, 7, Saint, 5, Chicago, 2, and Psalm, 19 months — have been living independently for months now, with Kardashian in Calabasas with their children and West, 43, in his $14 million Wyoming ranch.
"Kim got Kanye to go [to Wyoming] so they could live separate lives and quietly get things sorted out to separate and divorce," a source dished upon news that a divorce was imminent. "She's done."
And while the KKW Beauty founder already hired famous divorce attorney Laura Wasser, the mother of four remains concerned about how her kids will handle the separation.
"The children are very important to Kim," an insider told PEOPLE. "She is worried about what a permanent split will be like for all of them concerning their well being.
"They are just not on the same page when it comes to their future as a family," the source added of the couple. "And Kim is okay with it. She will do everything she can for the kids to have a great relationship with Kanye — she just doesn't want to be married to him."

While the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star stood by her hubby's side throughout his U.S. presidential campaign — during which he claimed Kardashian tried to abort North — and mental health struggles, she's apparently had enough after he also tried to move the family all over the country.
Kardashian previously shot down West's idea for the family to pick up their lives and move to Wyoming, said a source, because the kids' "school, friends and lives are in California."
OK! previously learned that West also made plans for the family to head to Atlanta, where he would build a church for his popular Sunday-Service. Once again, Kardashian turned down his request to move their children, as their cousins and her business is in L.A.
"He was talking about a new start and a new life and full of plans, but Kim put him straight and said there would be no move to Atlanta for her and the kids, and their future was in LA," a source said.
Only time will tell what happens when their children find out what has really been going on behind closed doors.
Us Weekly was the first to report that the children are in the dark when it comes to Kardashian and West's marital problems.
