'Love & Hip Hop: Miami' Alum Prince Arrested, Rapper Charged With Kidnapping & Battery After Brutal Attack On Girlfriend
Ex-Love & Hip Hop: Miami star Prince, real name Christopher Michael Harty, was arrested in Miami and faces a slew of charges after a violent altercation with his girlfriend.
The VH1 alum was nabbed by authorities on Wednesday, August 11, according to records obtained by OK!. He faces multiple charges, including battery and kidnapping.
He was also slapped with charges of disorderly conduct and possession of drugs without a prescription. He appeared in court on Thursday morning and was granted a $25,000 bond.
According to an arrest report, the rapper’s girlfriend went to his apartment to return his shoes when the incident occurred. After the woman tossed the shoes at Harty, he allegedly grabbed her, slammed her to the ground and punched her in the face.
The 31-year-old TV personality then allegedly grabbed her by the hair and forcefully stopped her from exiting the apartment before she was able to break free and flee the residence. The victim suffered scratches and bruises on her lip, neck, chest, arms and legs.

Harty has a troubled past, which includes several other arrests for minor crimes and a two-year stint in a juvenile facility. In November 2019, Harty was involved in a scuffle with controversial rapper Tory Lanez, whom Megan Thee Stallion accused of shooting her in the foot last year.
The “Say Less” crooner claimed that Lanez verbally assaulted him before taking a swing at him. He also alleged the “Jerry Sprunger” rapper’s security guard and entourage joined in on the attack.
“He swung, he initially missed, he jumped over and then they just started trying to attack me,” Harty told NBC Miami at the time. "They backed me into a corner, and once I was there, they started stomping on me, jumping on me."
Their beef was reignited earlier this year when Harty alleged that Lanez rolled up on him at a Miami nightclub on May 3 and struck him on the left side of his face, TMZ reported. Authorities noted the rapper's cheek was swollen when they arrived at the scene.
The self-dubbed “Prince of South Beach” appeared on Love & Hip Hop: Miami for two seasons before exiting the series.
