Meghan Markle is reportedly scratching her head over Martha Stewart's claim that the Duchess of Sussex spoke about her July reunion with King Charles at a recent dinner party.
Meghan, 45, and her husband, Prince Harry, 41, flew to the United Kingdom last month alongside their kids, Prince Archie, 7, and Princess Lilibet, 5, to visit the monarch, 77, at Highgrove House.
Martha Stewart said Meghan Markle 'had just gotten back from the palace' when she was at the dinner party.
The lifestyle guru, 85, claimed on August 5 in an interview with People that she met the Suits actress at a gathering, where the latter said she just returned from England.
However, according to an insider, “Meghan was asked by someone else about her European vacation and said it was nice, and that was the extent of it. I think [Stewart] must have been confused.”
Martha Stewart Was at the Same Dinner Party as Meghan Markle
A source said Meghan Markle didn't discuss her U.K. trip during the dinner party.
In her interview with the magazine, Stewart noted: "I had dinner with Meghan Markle the other night. We were both guests at a dinner party in California. And she had just gotten back from the palace. I didn’t talk to her really more than to say a couple words, but I know she was talking about it."
Meanwhile, a different source divulged to the publication on August 7 that the As Ever founder didn't discuss her U.K. trip while at the shindig.

Meghan Markle Has Always Been a 'Fan' of Martha Stewart
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry reunited with King Charles in England last month.
“I sat next to Meghan at the dinner party, and this account of what happened is simply untrue,” the eyewitness alleged. “Meghan didn’t talk about her European vacation other than to say the family had a great time."
“Meghan has always been a fan of Martha’s and enjoyed getting to meet her briefly at the dinner,” the insider added.
Martha Stewart Previously Commented on Meghan Markle's Netflix Show
Martha Stewart once said she hopes Meghan Markle 'knows what she’s talking about' when it comes to the lifestyle space.
Elsewhere during her People profile, Stewart was asked about the royal's Netflix cooking series, With Love, Meghan.
“If you’re an actress, it’s hard to then transition to a princess and then from a princess into a homemaking guru on a television show. It doesn’t sort of follow. So go from there," the Martha Stewart Living host noted.
The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover model also previously gave a shady response when asked about the actress' lifestyle endeavors.
“Meghan, I don’t really know very well, and I hope she knows what she’s talking about. Authenticity, to me, is everything, and to be authentic and knowledgeable about your subject matter is extremely important," she told Yahoo News Australia last year.
