Meghan Markle Plans 'Massive' Baby Shower With 'Hollywood Friends' — It'll Feel 'More Like The Oscars,' Says Source
It's not a celebration unless every A-list celeb in your contact list is invited to the occasion.
Meghan Markle is planning an extravagant baby shower with her and Prince Harry's Hollywood pals ahead of the arrival of the couple's second child, a baby girl, The Royal Observer reported.
While Meghan already had a $300,000 A-List baby shower, during her pregnancy with Archie, at the Mark Hotel in New York — hosted by high-profile gal pals Serena Williams, Amal Clooney and Jessica Mulroney — The Royal Observer exclusively learned that the Duchess has something bigger in mind for her second time around.
“Meghan was still trying to play by the royal rules when she had her first baby shower in New York," the source dished, adding that since "she is officially out of the family," she "can do whatever she wants, which includes having a massive celebration.”
“Expect Oprah [Winfrey] and Gayle [King] to be involved, along with Tyler Perry and all the pair's new Hollywood friends," the source continued. "This is going to feel more like the Oscars than a baby shower."
However, Meghan hasn't completely forgotten about her royal life, as the Queen will be welcome to take part in the celebrations, The Royal Observer source shared.

"The Queen will be very welcome if she wants to jump on Zoom,” added the insider, noting that the invite is eco-friendly and gender neutral despite the couple confirming they are having a baby girl.
"Baby showers are much more American than British, but the Queen certainly is aware of them after all the backlash and headlines that followed Meghan’s first in New York,” they said.
OK! previously reported that Harry, 36, and Meghan, 39, revealed the sex of their baby during their bombshell sit-down with Oprah on Sunday, March 7. At the time, the red-headed prince gushed about the couple's latest addition, sharing: “A girl, you know, what more can you ask for? But now, you know, now we’ve got our family. We’ve got, you know, the four of us and our two dogs, and it’s great."
It looks like a baby shower isn't the only thing the soon-to-be mama-of-two has started planning. OK! recently reported that Meghan is looking forward to an at-home birth at her and Harry's $14.65 million Montecito mansion in California.
The planning doesn't stop there. A friend of Harry and Meghan dished that they plan to take some time off after welcoming their baby girl later this year, according to The Royal Observer.
"It will be the summer and they want to make sure they both take their leave so they have some real quality time together once the baby arrives," the insider explained.
