Prince Harry is reportedly 'thrilled' to be back in his homeland.

Harry is reportedly also reaching out to his old pals in an attempt to reconnect. "There are people Harry effectively dumped when he left,” the source alleged.

“He moved on and never looked back. Now he’s reaching out again and beginning to acknowledge that walking away from everything may have been a huge mistake," they continued.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will still maintain their Montecito home while living in England.

Meghan and Harry announced earlier this month they would be leaving their home in Montecito, Calif., and moving to the U.K. for an extended period of time.

Their children, Prince Archie, 7, and Princess Lilibet, 5, are set to start their education in England next month. The couple opted to take a step back as senior members of the royal family in January 2020 and headed for the West Coast.

Another insider divulged that Meghan "cannot believe she’s back" as she "spent years building a completely different life in California."

"Returning to a country where she felt deeply unhappy and unwelcome is emotionally jarring," they went on. “Harry has come alive. “He’s reconnecting with his father [King Charles], his friends and his old life."

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are allegedly thinking about scoring a property in the Cotswolds.

"Meghan is shell-shocked. The happier Harry becomes in Britain, the more obvious it is that they may no longer want the same life," the source said.

The Sussexes will be keeping their Montecito mansion, as well as their vacation home in Portugal while they reside in the U.K. The actress and the Spare author are reportedly eyeing a $16 million-property in the Cotswolds — a rural area in south-central England.

According to royal expert Tom Sykes, Harry and Meghan are interested in the area around Stow-on-the-Wold, which is one of the Cotswolds’ most distinct municipalities.

The area is also well-known to house celebrities and other A-list figures looking for privacy, with stars such as David and Victoria Beckham, as well as Ellen DeGeneres also owning homes there.
