No longer "just Harry"?
Meghan Markle set the Internet ablaze when she gave a heartfelt introduction to her husband, Prince Harry, at the Invictus Games on Saturday night — but some fans have a bone to pick with the Suits actress over her choice of words.
The couple famously stepped back from their duties and abandoned the U.K. for a life in the United States after opening up about their struggles with royal life in a bombshell tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey.
Harry previously asked to drop his titles and be called "just Harry" at an event in Scotland back in 2020, but fans have long speculated that despite stepping away from all royal responsibilities, Meghan still has a tendency to use them when it benefits them publicly.
"It is my distinguished honor to introduce someone that I think you all will be very excited to hear from," Meghan said on Saturday, April 16, at the Invictus Games. "He has also spent many late nights and early mornings planning for these games to make them as perfect as possibly for each of you."

In her speech, the actress gushed over her husband's military service and his abilities as a father to their children Archie, 2, and Lilibet, 10 months, but some fans raised their eyebrows when she introduced him as "my incredible husband, Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex."
"Think I'd probably have said my husband ‘Harry’ not all those titles, but then maybe that’s what she calls him at home," one twitter user wrote in response, while another added, "Of course, she introduced him as 'Prince' and 'Duke of Sussex' - enjoying the titles."
A third commented, "They found out that 'Just call me Harry' does not sell but 'my husband, Prince Harry, The Duke of Sussex' and 'Hi, I’m Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex' does."
This isn't the first time they have been accused to using their royal privileges for publicity. Royal biographer Tom Bower recently slammed Meghan and Harry for allegedly staging a reunion with Queen Elizabeth II for their Netflix documentary.
"I have no doubt it was all done for their Netflix documentary," he explained of the surprise meeting. "The Queen's advisers failed to protect her from being exploited by the royal family's worst traducers, while the Sussexes exploited an old, unwell woman to boost their credibility and coffers."
