Nick Cannon is keeping his late son with him forever.
The 41-year-old comedian revealed on Friday, December 10, that he recently got some new ink in memory of his 5-month-old son Zen — who passed away over the weekend.
He announced the sweet tribute to his late son during Friday's episode of his The Nick Cannon Show, where he showed a photo of the new ink in the shape of his baby boy as an angel.
"I've seen so much love y'all, more than I've probably ever experienced," he said during the episode, per Page Six.
"That's actually my rib right there," he said while holding up an image of the design on his ribcage.
"Last night I got the opportunity to go get a tattoo of my son Zen as an angel on my rib," he said. "I'm still all bandaged up and it hurts right here right now," he said while pointing to his side.
"It was a lot of pain, but it was so well worth it," he told his audience about the experience. "I enjoyed every moment of the experience to forever have my son right here on my rib, right here on my side as my angel."

The former America's Got Talent host first announced the devastating news of his son's passing on Tuesday's episode of his show.
He tearfully told his fans that Zen — who he shares with Alyssa Scott — passed away peacefully while watching the ocean on the beach where Cannon was able to hold his son for the last time.
The 28-year-old mom has since spoken out about her son's death, stating, "It has been an honor and privilege being your mommy…I will love you for eternity."
As OK! previously reported, Scott's mother revealed that the grieving mom "didn't know" Cannon was going to announce the heartbreaking death on TV.
"Alyssa is a really laid back girl, she's really behind the scenes and doesn't like a lot of attention," her mom said. "So when Nick announced it she called me and she was unaware that he was going to do that on the show."
"People grieve different," Scott's grandmother added. "Alyssa is the type who sits back and she'll take it all in."
