Nick Cannon Shocked By 'Surprising' Brain Scan Results in Resurfaced Clip: 'I Didn't Know I Had a Toxic Brain'

Actor Nick Cannon reacted to the shocking results of his "toxic" brain scan in a resurfaced clip.

Cannon, 45, appeared on an episode of Dr. Daniel G. Amen's Scan My Brain YouTube show in March 2024, which he reposted via Instagram in August 2026.

During the episode, Amen attempted to get to the bottom of Cannon's lifelong feeling that he is "not normal."

"I know I'm not normal. Some people call me crazy; I know I'm not crazy," he explained. "But I know I've always been where everybody's zigging, I'm zagging."

He explained to the medical professional that he expected his brain to be abnormal, but hoped he would describe him as a "phenom."

"You've never seen anything like this, 'You're a phenom,'" Cannon joked.

Amen revealed that after doing an in-depth scan of the comedian's brain, he found markers of both ADHD and bipolar disorder as well as some brain damage due to physical "fights" in Cannon's youth.

The doctor added that Cannon's brain appeared "bumpy," which alluded to some toxicity that could be connected to his lupus diagnosis.

"This is surprising, interesting," Cannon mused. "I didn't know I had a toxic brain."

Amen recommended that the father-of-12 be checked for metal and mold, which could be a result of the chronic autoimmune disease.

"I think there's some form of toxicity," he explained. "I think you should get checked for mold and heavy metals. Because going back to why you have lupus... I just want to plant that seed. We're going to hunt down why you have lupus."

Cannon has no known history of the disease in his family, which further prompted Amen's curiosity.

Commenters online had a lot to say about Cannon's brain, given that the comedian has been the subject of public fascination after welcoming 12 kids with five women since 2020.

"I mean, anyone can tell by his life choices that things are a little off up there," one person wrote.

"I'm surprised that brain isn't fried lol," another commented.

"He could have gone on The Breakfast Club, and they would have told him the same thing," a third added.

Cannon first opened up about his battle with lupus in 2012, but has since been very vocal about the symptoms and diagnosis.

"A lot of people don’t know what you’re going through until it’s too late, until I am in the hospital," he recently told "Club ShayShay" of the "unseen struggle" of swelling, pain and extreme fatigue.

"Your immune system attacks your organs,” he added. “It’s funny because your immune system is built to protect you…lupus is like ICE, ‘ain’t ya’ll supposed to be protecting us, ya’ll are whopping are a--.’ ”
