Perez Hilton was taken to a hospital after a troubling TikTok livestream appeared to show him harming himself.

Authorities said they received multiple calls after a since-deleted livestream appeared to depict the celebrity blogger engaging in self-harm. His hospitalization came just months after he experienced multiple health setbacks, including severe sepsis and deep vein thrombosis.

On August 4, Hilton was hospitalized after appearing to self-harm during a TikTok livestream. Once the broadcast ended, graphic clips purportedly showing the columnist covered in blood began circulating across social media.

Deputies with the Miami-Dade County Sheriff's Office responded to his Florida home after receiving multiple calls from viewers who witnessed the livestream. The deputies confirmed that Hilton — who was not initially identified publicly — had been "safely recovered and transported by Miami-Dade Fire Rescue to a local hospital, where he is receiving medical attention."

Authorities said deputies initially met with Hilton's family outside the residence and learned that he was the only person inside the home.

A spokesperson for the MDCSO added, "In many incidents involving a person experiencing a mental health crisis or actively harming themselves, deputies prioritize de-escalation by creating time, distance, and opportunities for communication."

"Unless there is an immediate threat to others, slowing the situation and utilizing crisis intervention techniques can reduce the likelihood of a suicide-by-cop encounter and minimize the risk of injury to the individual, deputies, and the public," they continued.

He was transported to a medical facility with support from mental health professionals and members of the Crisis Response Unit at the MDCSO.

As OK! reported, the 911 dispatch audio described the situation involving Hilton as a "suicide attempt."

Page Six reported the call was made at 10:41 p.m. on August 4, and the authorities responded to Hilton's Miami, Fla., home at 11 p.m. with multiple units. Additional units were advised to "stand by."

The dispatch audio included graphic details about Hilton's reported self-harm attempts, which the news outlet did not include in the report.

In a statement on Hilton's official website, his team and family confirmed the blogger was receiving medical care.

"Many of you have reached out with concern for Perez, and we are incredibly grateful for the overwhelming outpouring of love, support, and prayers," the statement read. "We can confirm that Perez is receiving medical care, and our family's focus right now is on his well-being."

They continued, "We kindly ask that you respect Perez's privacy, as well as the privacy of his family, during this difficult time. If and when we are able to share any updates, we will do so with everyone as soon as we can. Thank you for your compassion, understanding, and continued support."

Before his latest hospitalization, Hilton had a 21-day hospital stay in March after developing an ulcer, a perforation and sepsis following a bout of the flu.

"It was such a slow process. I mean, two weeks of just sickness and then another week of getting better before I was released," he said in a YouTube video on March 23. "The last week was h---, because I had already been in the hospital two weeks by then. I was like, 'I just want to go home. I just want to be with my babies.'"

Soon after returning home, he was rushed back to a medical facility, where doctors discovered a "massive blood clot." He underwent emergency thrombectomy to remove it before it could cause complications involving his lungs or heart.
