Political Strategist Sends Brutal Warning to Donald Trump and Pete Hegseth Ahead of 2026 Midterms 

Political strategist James Carville issued a blunt warning to President Donald Trump and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, predicting a major Republican defeat in the November 2026 midterm elections.

Carville, 81, targeted what he described as Hegseth's "fake-a-- macho bull— s---," specifically referencing the secretary's role in the administration's controversial military actions in Iran.

The so-called “Ragin’ Cajun” claimed in his latest "Politics War Room" podcast that Hegseth is widely "despised" within the Pentagon and warned that military officials would eventually move against him with damaging information.

“I don’t think Pete Hegseth realizes how much he’s despised in those five rings,” Carville said, referring to the Pentagon.

“They’re coming after you with your fake a-- macho bulls---, bombing schools in Iran and c--- like that,” he added.

The man responsible for former President Bill Clinton’s 1992 win also stated that Pentagon officials won’t remain quiet for long.

“Everything that you’ve done is going to come forth,” Carville warned.

He explicitly criticized the administration for "fake a-- wars" and the reported bombing of schools in Iran, suggesting these actions have alienated the public.

Carville predicted that the GOP would be "trounced" in the midterms, an experience he likened to being "punched in the mouth by Mike Tyson" for Trump.

“It’s over, dude,” he said of Trump’s reign. “History and time have caught up with you.”

Following a predicted midterms trouncing for Republicans, Carville said the president will become irrelevant.

“The president would become a ‘lame duck’ and shunned by congressional Republicans” because “it’s going to be apparent to them that you’re a loser and you’re a losing bet,” he said.

As for the Democrats, Carville predicts they will right the wrongs of the Trump administration.

“Democrats, on the other hand, are 'going to go after your stupid jacka-- kids and their spouses and all the other bulls--- that you see,” he exclaimed. “They’re gonna investigate the s--- out of you.”

While Carville has been known to be wrong on some things — he predicted former VP Kamala Harris would trounce Trump — he is confident that Trump will be done sooner than later.

“Even through cloudy, stupid, fat-addled brain, you’re going to figure out, ‘I got to get the h--- out of here,’ and you’re going to cut a deal, and you’re going to resign,” Carville said, predicting that the president will resign by next April due to pressures, political losses, illness and irrelevancy.

"I just think he's fat, lazy and deteriorating," he said.
