Ramona Singer & Luann de Lesseps Team Up As Bravo Scraps 'RHONY' Reunion Following Controversial Season, Ratings Slump
The OG’s are banding together!
After Bravo confirmed the RHONY reunion was scrapped following a disastrous season and a ratings slump, castmates Ramona Singer and Countess Luann de Lesseps reunited in the Hamptons.
The 64-year-old blonde beauty and the cabaret singer met up in the land of the rich and famous. “So happy to be back with my girl!! @countessluann 🎉,” Singer captioned the perfectly timed snap of the duo via Instagram on Friday, September 17.
De Lesseps, 56, shared the same sweet snap on her personal Instagram, saying, “#TurtleTime 🐢,” as news of the canceled reunion was breaking.
“Due to scheduling challenges around taping the reunion of The Real Housewives of New York City in a timely manner, Bravo confirmed there will not be a reunion for this season,” a spokesperson for the network spilled late Friday evening, reported Radar. “It's disappointing to not be able to bring the cast back together, but we are happy to have ended on such a high note with the finale, and now shifting our focus to next season.”
The reunion episodes are usually scheduled to be filmed weeks before the final show is airing. However, due to a challenging and low-rated season of RHONY, a source claimed the network wants to focus on rebuilding the embattled once-mega popular series in the franchise.

In addition, scheduling has been difficult due to the ladies' summer plans and clashes among cast members, with several of them in no hurry to be in the same room together.
Singer has been the subject of several rumors she is getting the axe from RHONY, although she has adamantly denied she is going anywhere.
It might not matter though as OK! learned the network is considering putting the entire series on ice for a bit. “There is no date to start filming season 14 on the books,” a source spilled to OK!, adding there’s “talk about putting the show on permanent hiatus.”
“The fear is that the show is just too controversial now. Which is why there is talk about shutting it down until things cool off,” the insider continued. “The last thing they want to do is have this show poison the entire franchise.”
