Love is in the air for Rebel Wilson! While on the "U Up?" podcast, the actress revealed she's "now happily in a relationship."
The star, 42, didn't identify her new man by name or reveal when they started dating, but she said they met through a mutual friend. "He'd known both of us for at least five years each, and was like, 'Yeah, I think you two would hit it off,'" she shared. "And then we did."
Right from the start, the Pitch Perfect scene-stealer had a good feeling about the guy — something she couldn't always say when she was swiping on the celeb dating app Raya.
"I think that escalates things quicker, [meeting someone] from a trusted source," she noted. "So then you're like, 'OK, I can trust this person, that they are legit, they are who they say they are' – which is something on the apps you don't really know."
Before dating businessman Jacob Busch and splitting in early 2021, the Aussie decided to play the field, estimating that she went on over 50 dates throughout 2019.
"I went on some dates with some billionaires and then also some people who had nothing. It was the full spectrum of people," she spilled. "I deliberately wanted to push myself and date a whole bunch of people and get that experience, which I know in itself is not normal. But, to me, it actually really helped me in finding what I liked and what I didn't like. It was a fun thing."
Last month, Wilson declared that she feels "the best I’ve ever felt," and that doesn't just stem from her weight loss. "It's not just about how I look on the outside, but kind of how I feel about myself," she explained. "I do think beauty is in all shapes."
"There were times when I rocked the red carpet in a size 18, size 20, and you could tell by the pictures, I was really confident and loving myself. But I knew secretly that I was engaging in some unhealthy eating behaviors, and that's what I wanted to work on," the Jojo Rabbit star admitted. "So now, because I am a healthier person, that shines through. A lot of my friends say that even though I was confident before, I have a newfound confidence."
