Showbiz Dispute!
Pioneer Woman Ree Drummond is itching to spend time in Hollywood to take on more acting roles, which isn’t going down well with her husband, Ladd, according to an insider.
The down-home lifestyle guru, 53, who appears in the Food Network holiday movie Candy Coated Christmas, “has been bitten hard by the acting bug and is eager to do more projects,” dishes the insider. “Ree is at a career crossroads,” shares the insider, who says she’s anxious to explore opportunities in Hollywood.
But Ladd, 52, wants to stay put on their Oklahoma ranch, “and it’s causing tension at home,” the insider explains. “It’s a huge dilemma because he doesn’t want to stand in Ree’s way, but he hates even visiting L.A., let alone living there.”
With more offers from Tinseltown already coming in, “Ree’s in a tough spot because she knows that this may be a one-time opportunity and she can grab it or possibly regret it the rest of her life,” the insider adds.

“Ree and Ladd are going to have to sit down and settle this dispute, but it’s clear she’s ready for a new chapter — and she’d like to get out of the kitchen.”
As OK! previously reported, this isn't the first time the Food Network star and her homebody hubby have butt heads. A source spilled to the outlet that Ree was fed up with his "bullheadedness".
The 52-year-old broke his neck in a car accident last March, and the celebrity chef “figured he would slow down — but he still thinks he can herd cattle and wrangle horses.”
“Ree loved the idea of marrying a real live cowboy years ago but she had no idea it would be this much trouble," the insider explained, adding: “Ree thinks Ladd should leave the brunt of the hard work to the younger guys, but whenever she tries to talk sense into him, he just grunts and ignores her.”
