'RHOA' Porsha Williams Engaged To Simon Guobadia Weeks After Costar Falynn Guobadia Announces Split
Real Housewives of Atlanta star Porsha Williams is engaged to Simon Guobadia, just months after his split from costar Falynn Guobadia.
Although the pair admitted that they only got together last month, it felt like the right time to commit.
"I know it’s fast but we are living life each day to its fullest. I choose happiness every morning and every night. Tuning out all negative energy and only focused on positive wishes. He makes me so happy and to me, that is what matters most," Williams gushed on Instagram alongside a selfie.
The 39-year-old also took a moment to address the question everyone has been asking. "For all of you that need facts, I get the optics but Simon filed for divorce from a previous marriage in January. I had nothing to do with their divorce filing. That’s between the two of them," she explained.
She added, "Falynn and I are not friends, and Simon’s divorce has been settled. Our relationship is a positive, loving step forward in everybody’s lives."
Williams split from ex Dennis McKinley two years ago, shortly after giving birth to their daughter, Pilar Jhena. "Simon and Dennis are committed to being respectful and supportive of my happiness in this situation, as well as being the best co-parents they can be to baby PJ. Two black men stepping up and being amazing people-let’s praise them!!!!"
She concluded, "It’s truly a beautiful moment in my life & we cannot wait to spend the rest of our lives together. xoxo P #LoveWins."
For his part, Guobadia wrote in his own post, "I’d like to seize this opportunity to thank every well wisher of Porsha and I, whether via phone, text or DM. You affirm my believe that finding love is possible for everyone who genuinely seeks one." He shared a shot of Williams' engagement ring and the couple cutting a cake.

"Getting married again was never a question in my mind, but when. Did not expect to be blessed with a mate so soon," the film producer added.
He explained that he popped the question because "we checked ALL of each other’s boxes, and then some."
He added, "We have done the individual work to sustain a healthy relationship, and I stand next to her, proud that we found each other. What we have is what we wish every single one of you out there — happiness. So when I asked...she said yes. That is ALL that mattered."
Fans took to the comments to wish the happy couple well — and share their surprise! "So what am I reading 📖😳," one user asked.

Falynn announced the former couple's split on her Instagram Story last month. "After two years of marriage and 5 years of friendship, Simon and I have made the difficult decision to go our separate ways," she wrote.
"We are deeply thankful for the impact we have made in each other's lives, as well as the bonds formed with each other's children. This mutual decision was not made lightly and despite our current willingness to be transparent, we only ask our friends and supporters to be respectful of our privacy as our family gets through this very difficult period," she added.
